Wyoming Legion Baseball Scoreboard: July 19-25, 2021

It’s the last week of the 2021 regular season for Class “AA” teams with several conference games remaining to settle the state tournament standings.

It’s the 16th week of the season. There are a few non-conference games left on the calendar for a few teams.

MONDAY JULY 19:

Final score: Evanston 4 Jackson 2 (conference game) – A 7th inning of 3 points helps the Outlaws rally for a conference victory. Smith got the RBI-singles green light and took the victory over the mound.

Final score: Jackson 3 Evanston 2 (conference game) – The Giants win it as Bleggi single and ultimately scores on a passed ball. Ashurts took the victory over the mound. L. Gralund had a hit and 1 RBI.

TUESDAY JULY 20:

Final score: Cheyenne 5 Gillette 1 (conference game) – After taking a 3-0 lead, some insurance points in 5th helped the Sixers win. Anderson led the way with a double and 2 RBIs. Costapoulos added 2 hits. The runners were limited to 3 hits and committed 5 errors.

Final score: Cheyenne 10 Gillette 2 (conference game) – 5 runs in the first two innings leads to the sweep for the Sixers. Costapoulos had 3 hits, including a home run, and produced 4. The runners held on 5 hits.

Final score: Sheridan 4 Laramie 0 (conference game) – Stone throws a shutout of 2 hits on 78 shots. The soldiers took advantage of 3 mistakes made by Laramie.

Final score: Sheridan 10 Laramie 7 [9 inns.] (conference game) – Soldiers score 4 points in 7th to tie and win in 9th on Kilpatrick’s 3-point home run. Dodd had 2 home runs in the Rangers loss.

WEDNESDAY JULY 21:

Final score: Gillette 4 Laramie 0 (conference game) – Richardson and Martin combine on a hit. Richardson had 15 strikeouts.

Final score: Gillette 11 Laramie 7 (conference game) – The runners set off 9-0 then push back an attempt to return. Fink had 3 hits, while Race, Newlin and Sturdevant each had 2 RBIs.

Final score: Sheridan 5 Billings (MT) Scarlets 0 – Nelson and Hall combine on a one-hit shutout. Hall had 2 hits and 2 RBIs.

Final score: Sheridan 17 Billings (MT) Scarlets 7 – Down 6-2, the Troopers scored the next 12 points. Kilpatrick had 4 hits (2-2G) and 4 RBIs. Stowe added 2 triples on 3 hits and 2 RBIs.

Final score: Casper 8 Evanston 7 (conference game) – The Oilers have scored 8 points in the last 3 innings to recover from a 5-0 deficit. Pickett won the single by 2 points in the 7th. Taggart added 2 hits and 3 RBIs for Casper.

Final score: Casper 19 Evanston 6 (conference game) – The Oilers came off 11-1 and finished with 8 in 4th. Barr had 3 hits (2-2G) and 4 RBIs. Wilcox adds 2 hits and 4 RBIs. Douglass had 3 hits and 3 RBIs.

Final score: Jackson 10 Rock Springs 0 (conference game) – Huggins throws a 2-hit shutout with 4K and 4BB. The Giants sealed it with 7 points in the 7th.

Final score: Jackson 7 Rock Springs 6 [8 inns.] (conference game) – The Giants rally at a 4-1 deficit and get the sweep. Jackson scored 2-7 for a 6-5 lead, but the Stallions tied him on a goal-laden march. The Giants regained the lead on a walked walk loaded in the 8th. Ashurts had 3 hits (2-2G) and 2 RBIs for Jackson.

Final score: Cheyenne 11 Greeley GOJO’s 6 – Sixers seal victory with 7 points in 6th. Hastings had 1 hit and led by 3 points. Lobmeyer played all 9 field positions for Cheyenne on senior night.

THURSDAY JULY 22:

Final score: Casper 14 Evanston 8 (conference game) – A 7th by 6 points helps the Oilers rally for victory. Taggart had 3 hits and 3 RBIs for Casper.

Final score: Casper 16 Evanston 6 (conference game) – The Oilers scored the last 10 points of the game after being tied at 6-6 for the third. Nipper had 4 hits (3-2G) and 3 RBIs, while Wilcox added 4 hits and produced 2. Douglass scored for Casper.

Final score: Rock Springs 5 ​​Jackson 1 – A 5 point 5th place helps the Stallions win Sr. Day. Pecolar had 2 hits and produced 1, while D. Gunyan added a 2-point brace.

FRIDAY JULY 23:

Final score: Sheridan 3 Billings (MT) Scarlets 2 – A 2-point 5th inning helps the Troopers to victory. Kilpatrick had 2 hits and produced a run.

Final score: Billings (MT) Scarlets 4 Sheridan 1 – Soldiers landed 6 hits but failed. Greer and Stowe with 2 hits each.
