This Philadelphia Phillies duo are the epitome of spring training goals

Bryce Harper and Bryson Stott are roommate goals at Phillies Spring Training

The greatest roommate duo in Philadelphia Phillies spring training history is back, sort of.

After all, Bryce Harper isn’t allowed to go to spring training until MLB’s lockdown is over because clubs can’t have any contact with their players during this work stoppage.

Nonetheless, he and Bryson Stott are roommates again in Clearwater, Florida. And for the second spring in a row, they’re giving us #RoomieGoals and some serious FOMO.

According to Instagram Stories by Harper’s wife Kay, they are having a homemade pizza party with Stott and his girlfriend.

Harper and Stott go back a long way, as their families are friends in their hometown of Las Vegas. According to Harper, Stott is still at home watching Ohio State football games. During the holiday season, they visited a local Christmas village together.

As Harper watches on the outside, his young protege impresses at the Phillies’ minor league minicamp, where farm manager Preston Mattingly sang his praises this week. Have the reigning NL MVP as a friend, mentor and roommate,

Not to be a drawback, but two unsavory themes undermine this sweet photo. First, the aforementioned lockout, which prevents Harper and his teammates from starting their training. Second, Stott is the rare (if not the only) prospect who lives so well in spring training, as the minor leaguers don’t get paid during this time of year.

A lot needs to change in the world of MLB, but in the meantime, we need to know: What pizza toppings?
