PORTLAND, Ore. — Timbers defender Juan David Mosquera and midfielder Santiago Moreno have been called up to Colombia’s national team training camp in October, the Colombian Football Federation announced today.

Mosquera and Moreno will join the senior team in Barranquilla, Colombia from October 18-20.

Mosquera, 19, appeared with Colombia’s U-17 men’s national team at the 2019 South American U-17 Championship in Lima, Peru, and was also named to Colombia’s U-20 training camp roster. Colombia. The call-up is his first of his career with the senior team.

Moreno, 22, will join the senior squad for the second time in his career, having previously been called up to camp in February 2021 but is yet to earn a cap. Moreno was one of two players to appear in every game for Portland (34) and led the Timbers with 22 points (7g, 8a) in the 2022 campaign.
