ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland Growlers, ECHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs, are proud to announce the club’s roster for training camp ahead of the 2022-2023 ECHL season.
To date, 20 players have joined the Growlers’ training camp, including three goaltenders, four defensemen and 13 forwards. Of these 20 players present, 12 players are under AHL contract with the Toronto Marlies and four skaters are under ECHL contract.
Four other skaters joined the Growlers on a trial basis. Please see below for a full list of training camps.
The Growlers officially open training camp on Wednesday, October 12 at Mary Brown’s Center.
On Saturday, October 15, the Growlers will hold an open practice at CBS Arena from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This event is open to the public and free.
The Growlers kick off their fourth season of ECHL hockey on Friday, October 21 as they host North Division rivals Reading Royals at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at nlgrowlers.com/tickets.
