There are countless teams looking to sign Marcus Stroman this winter and now you can add the Seattle Mariners to the roster.
There’s no denying that starting pitcher Marcus Stroman is a wanted man right now. With the New York Mets hoping to bring him back to town, the feeling is he could join a new club in 2022. Now a new team is set to shoot with the Long Island native.
According to MLB insider Jon Morosi, the Seattle Mariners are now ready to shoot with the star pitcher. Could a move to the Pacific Northwest be underway?
Free agency Marcus Stroman continues to heat up
It goes without saying, but Mariners fans would love Stroman to visit T-Mobile Park. Jerry DiPoto and Co. have made it clear that they are willing to spend a lot this winter. Getting Stroman would of course give a lot of hope for next season and beyond.
Seattle was on the verge of ending its 20-year streak of missing the playoffs, but they barely missed a Wild Card spot in 2021. With so many young talent on the squad, we are ‘expects the Mariners to be back in the hunt in 2022.
In order for them to reach the top, however, they’re going to have to make big strides in free agency. Stroman would certainly do the trick, as he could immediately make all the difference for the rotation. With so many other teams showing interest, it might be difficult for Seattle to finalize things, but they should do everything possible to try and sell Stroman on the club’s exciting potential.
